MOSCOW, Russia. The Red Devils lifted the Champion's League trophy for the 3rd time. But somehow, one has to feel that the prescence of those who lost their lives in the Munich incident exactly 50 years ago.

Having won their previous meeting Chelsea went into the match filled with confidence but it was the english chanpions who made their prescence felt withseveral chances at goal before Ronaldo managed to break the deadlock from a Wes Brown cross. However, a deflected shot allowed Chelsea to pull one back before the break. Chelsea seemed the better side in e 2nd half as they steamrolled their opponents but were unlucky to hit the woodwork twice. Drogba saw the Blues for slapping Vidic and the referee showed him red. Chelsea managed to hold on to force a penalty shootout.

The worse was yet to be when Terry had the chance to win the game but slipped and his shot hit the post. Anelka, having won the trophy with Real Madrid several years back saw his shot saved by VDS and the red half of the stadium eupted in euphoria!
